SCIIF 2025 Successfully Concludes. With Three Major Upgrades Outlining a New Blueprint for Intelligent Manufacturing

2025-6-6

Expanded Scale: An Ecological Matrix Covering the Whole Industrial Chain Takes Shape
As a flagship exhibition co-branded by HANNOVER MESSE and China International Industry Fair (CIIF), the three-day South China International Industry Fair 2025 (SCIIF) concluded successfully on June 6 at Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (Bao'an New Hall). Under the theme of "Sharing an Intelligent Future Led by Industry," the exhibition achieved major advancements in scale, lineup, and influence, establishing a comprehensive display system spanning from core components to end-product manufacturing. With over 100,000 square meters of exhibition area across five halls, the event attracted more than 1,200 exhibitors showcasing their strengths for the South China market.

"This is a powerful testament to Shenzhen's role as a global manufacturing hub," noted Gary Liu, Managing Director of Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd. and representative of the organizers of SCIIF. He highlighted that SCIIF 2025 welcomed 107,222 professional visitors, reflecting a robust demand for cutting-edge technologies in sectors such as electronic information, high-end manufacturing, and new energy vehicles. From German Industry 4.0 solutions to local innovations, Shenzhen is leveraging the exhibition as a platform to continuously mobilize and attract global innovation resources.

Technological Breakthroughs: New Product Launches Create a Sensation
SCIIF 2025 witnessed multiple waves of new product releases, showcasing the global industrial market's continued optimism about South China as a manufacturing hub. At this year’s event, advanced sensors and machine vision systems have endowed intelligent equipment with "sharp eyes" and "dexterous hands," ensuring precision and reliability in manufacturing processes. Ultrafast laser precision machining, high-power fiber cutting, and intelligent welding technologies have injected "precision genes" and "innovative momentum" into intelligent equipment, achieving micrometer-level control in machining operations. Industrial Internet solutions have covered the entire factory lifecycle, enabling equipment connectivity, transparent production management. Optimized intelligent decision-making and intelligent flexible automatic production line solutions have drawn significant attention by meeting the demand for diverse, small-batch flexible manufacturing and vividly demonstrating viable pathways for low-carbon transformation in the industry.

First-time exhibitor Festo, a century-old German company, centered its showcase around the theme of "Electrification, Digitization, and Sustainability," debuting its new electrical automation product— Edge Controller CEPE, a brand-new electrical automation product making its Asian premiere, alongside specialized and reliable products for the life sciences sector making their SCIIF debut. A staff member at the booth noted that the company's cutting-edge technologies were met with an enthusiastic response at SCIIF, with their Industry 4.0-compatible intelligent features earning high recognition. Festo aims to leverage the exhibition to deepen its presence in the South China market and collaborate with other stakeholders to build a flexible production ecosystem.

Omron Automation made its debut at SCIIF, leveraging the highly-recognized platform to present its latest and most advanced technologies and solutions. By harnessing cutting-edge AI and digital technologies, Omron provided efficient solutions to upgrade South China's manufacturing sector, injecting fresh momentum into industrial development. The passion and vitality of visitors from South China left a strong impression on Omron representatives. During in-depth discussions, customers noted that the company's technological innovations and industry insights offered new perspectives for their own intelligent upgrading. With the exhibition marking a new and critical step for Omron, the company is confident in collaborating with customers and partners to drive high-quality development in manufacturing and jointly shape an innovative future.

The laser technology exhibition area also stood out as a highlight. Driven by demand from semiconductors and medical displays, the market share of domestically produced laser equipment continues to rise, positioning SCIIF as an "accelerator" for laser technology industrialization. Ying Mingjiong, President of China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association, noted that Shenzhen, home to 40% of China's laser enterprises, has established a whole industrial chain advantage spanning "core components—high-end equipment—application."

"We’ve seen updated technological innovations and diverse application scenarios for laser equipment at this exhibition," remarked the booth manager of Vital Laser, which debuted at SCIIF 2025 with star products like MOPA fiber lasers and industrial fiber lasers. "The scale of SCIIF is impressive, featuring many industry leaders across the entire supply chain, from components to integrated systems. Vital has attracted considerable attention and received many inquiries at this event, effectively advancing the marketization of its power meters."

Business Synergy: Bridging Industries Through Exhibition
The exhibition is not only a platform for showcasing technologies but also an efficient bridge for business matchmaking. SCIIF 2025 established a dual platform combining "technology display + targeted matching," helping companies grasp pain points in market demand and efficiently foster collaborations through supporting activities such as sourcing and supply matchmaking meetings and technical exchange conferences. Numerous exhibitors highly praised the tangible outcomes of the exhibition.

"The results are highly encouraging—the number of professional visitors was substantial, and their quality was exceptional. We received a wealth of valuable customer inquiries and collaboration intentions," shared a representative from Han’s Laser Smart Equipment Group, which has participated in the exhibition for consecutive years. The company showcased star products such as flatbed cutters, pipe cutters, bending machines, welding machines, and intelligent control systems, with on-site discussions buzzing with energy. "Through the exhibition, we efficiently connected with target customers and gained precise insights into market demands and trends in South China and beyond. The customers’ enthusiastic feedback on our new products has further strengthened our market confidence. The fruitful outcomes once again underscore SCIIF's value as a pivotal platform for business and technical exchanges," the representative added.

Discussing the exhibition's business impact, Zhang Shengfang, South China Regional Sales Manager at Beckhoff Automation China remarked, "At SCIIF 2025, we engaged with a large number of Shenzhen-based enterprises. They showed great interest in Beckhoff's products, and we’ve also gained several promising collaboration opportunities."

The booth of Shanghai GKONCY Electric Co., Ltd. also drew bustling crowds. A booth staff noted, "Many customers from the equipment manufacturing, automation, and new energy sectors came to our booth with specific application needs and product selection queries, and engaged in in-depth discussions with us about core performance metrics such as the waterproof/dustproof ratings, current-carrying capacity, vibration resistance, and quick-connect designs of our connectors. The customers showed a strong interest in the physical samples, scrutinizing them, testing the tactile performance, and inquiring about their detailed parameters and applicable scenarios."

Policy Empowerment: Accelerating the Construction of a Whole-Industrial-Chain Ecosystem
The nearly 30 high-level and in-depth professional forums and conferences held concurrently with SCIIF 2025 complemented the display of innovative achievements, attracting deep participation from industry leaders, technical experts, scholars, and policymakers. These events provided profound insights into the future trajectory of industrial development, fully demonstrating South China’s leading role as both a hub for advanced manufacturing and a cradle of innovation both in China and on the global stage.

"Breakthroughs in both exhibition scale and business matchmaking outcomes underscore the vitality of South China’s industrial economy. Moving forward, we will continue to deepen global technological collaboration and accelerate the industrialization of innovative achievements," said Gary Liu.

As the world-class manufacturing cluster in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area accelerated its formation, SCIIF 2025 is shaping a "South China Model" for intelligent manufacturing in China. Next June, SCIIF will be once again held in Shenzhen, which is expected to empower more enterprises to seize opportunities in the restructuring of global industrial chains.
